I was graciously supported while I wrote my last book. Unfortunately, that support ended, and I took a full-time job to make ends meet. That means that my writing has slowed way down–much slower than usual. It’s been something like eight months since I published my last novel, and I’ve only written around 10,000 words on my current novel.
I used to write every day, but now with a full-time job, I can only write on weekends (if that). What I’m trying to say is that as a slow writer I’ve gotten even slower. I’m trying to improve, though, so there’s still hope that my next novel will come out sometime in the next decade.
Sorry. I hope you won’t lose interest and abandon me for more prolific writers. (I almost said more promiscuous writers for some reason.) If you abandoned me, I’d be really sad. (Thanks for the guilt trip, Kylie.)
Maybe I’ll write a bunch of short stories. I can write quickly, but when the book goes above 20,000 words, I get lost in the details and panic and start rewriting and take forever.
Uh, Kylie, maybe you should write shorter books. Duh.
I wish I could figure out what to do.
I just told you: write shorter books
It’s the last day of 2021. Maybe a year from now I’ll have ten new novels out. Ha. That’s funny.
Happy New Year to my readers. Hope you have a wonderful 2022. Thanks for your support. You’re great, and I love you.
